The Monadnock Marauders was founded by both a teammate and friend, Scott Cote.

In 2010, Scott Cote lost his battle with cancer and has left us with a void that will never truly be filled. He was responsible for making the Marauders into a model for all other NEFL teams to follow. His commitment to creating a quality football experience for fans and players, combined with a focus on serving the community has created some very special here in the Monadnock Region. Scott was a true friend and a fine man that is missed be all. In the Fall of 2011, Scott's contributions to the NEFL and our community were recognized with his induction to the NEFL Hall of Fame, as both a "Player" and as a "General Manager". Scott is the only person to be recognized in more than one category.

Each season we remember Scott by playing in honor of him at Scott Cote Night.
